Please note that for the purpose of our policies the term Tain and North Highland YMCA SCIO will be shortened to Tain YMCA

  1. Anti-Fraud Policy – minor changes; added Executive responsibility
  2. Communications Policy – substantial updates including additions of Cyber/online bullying, Social Media, video calling and Appendix 1 – Social Media Guidance
  3. Alcohol & Substance Misuse Policy – renamed from Drug & Alcohol Policy; one addition to include contractors and sub-contractors
  4. Equal Opportunities & Diversity Policy – one addition, policy should be read in conjunction with Staff Handbook
  5. Health & Safety Policy – amended to include ‘volunteers’; changed ‘working alone at 17, Stafford Street Tain after 9.00pm’ to ‘working alone in 17, Stafford Street offices out with normal office hours’
  6. Lone Worker Policy – addition of working alone at Tain YMCA offices out with normal office hours
  7. Protection of Vulnerable, Protected & At Risk Adults – amended to include ‘volunteers’; addition of ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’ section; reporting procedures updated; Appendix 1 completed updated and addition of Appendix 2 ‘Capacity – Guidance on Making Decisions’
  8. Recruitment of Ex-offenders – substantial amendments to update it in line with mygov.scot policy
  9. Data Protection Policy – Addition of Appendix 2 – ‘information sharing agreement for processing salaries’
  10.  Policy for the Safeguarding & Protection of Children & Vulnerable Young People – updated October 2019
  11.  Volunteer Policy – no changes
  12.  Secure handling, use, storage and retention of PVG scheme record information – no changes
  13. Code of Conduct & Ethics for Trustees Policy – no changes
  14. Fit & Proper Trustee & Declaration Policy – no changes
  15. Quality Assurance Policies & Procedures – no changes
  16. Environmental Policy – a new policy added in March 2021
